Ba-aka pygmies, preparing for a net hunt

The Ba-Aka, like the other four main pygmy groups in the northern Congo rainforest, speak the language of their local Bantu neighbors, but they are linked not only by physical resemblance but by their haunting yodeling music. The younger generation of Ba-Aka are emigrating to find work outside the dwindling forest, and the customs and knowledge of the elders even in the reserves like Dzanga-Sanga are in the process of becoming tourist curiosities.
